100 Days to Go!
The first 11 days of this 111-Day Challenge ended up being a warm-up period—adjusting to a new lifestyle and juggling all the different goals hasn’t been easy. Some days have felt unproductive or just plain exhausting. Waking at 3 a.m. is starting to feel natural, but I’m (Melkije) often tired during the day. One big issue is not getting enough total sleep—I’m aiming for 6 to 7 hours, including naps, but haven’t hit that consistently, and it’s slowing my progress.
Still, I’m gradually getting into a better rhythm and feel ready to take on the final 100 days starting today.
It’s easy to feel excited when setting big goals, but much harder to keep going when the excitement fades and things get tough. That’s usually when I start to second-guess myself or quit. This time, I’m pushing those thoughts aside and staying focused.
Interestingly, I’ve gained 2 kg during these first 11 days. I haven’t started logging my meals yet, but I plan to from today for accountability. Eating well is one of my biggest challenges. We’ve been eating at home more, and I don’t think I’ve eaten badly, but my new weigh-in time (3 a.m. instead of 8 a.m.) might be skewing the numbers due to water retention. And yes, maybe I’ve gained a little muscle—but probably not 2 kg worth.
Some people have said I look thinner—or even asked if I’m sick—so the scale might not tell the full story.
The truth about transformation is that it sounds exciting at the start, but it quickly gets messy. Progress isn’t linear, and self-sabotage is always lurking. I’ve experienced that cycle too many times to count, so I’m building systems to help me stay on track this time. I’ll share more about that in the this Transformations Blog.
Starting today, I’ll post everything I eat, to hold myself accountable—even when I slip up.
For those of you doing this challenge too, I hope it’s going well. Let us know how you’re doing over in the Transformation Discussion Area
